Not singling the OP out, I can't tell you the number of times one of my [new] customers has said "they told me they had trucks to move this, I didn't understand what a broker was at the time". This is for EVERY broker out there that implys they have trucks.......... §371.7 Misrepresentation. (b) *A broker shall not, directly or indirectly, represent its operations to be that of a carrier.* Any advertising shall show the broker status of the operation.

Not singling the OP out, I can't tell you the number of times one of my [new] customers has said "they told me they had trucks to move this, I didn't understand what a broker was at the time". This is for EVERY broker out there that implys they have trucks..........

§371.7 Misrepresentation.

(b) A broker shall not, directly or indirectly, represent its operations to be that of a carrier. Any advertising shall show the broker status of the operation.

Carriers are held to a much higher standard when it comes to compliance, even though we are covered under the same CFR. Since there aren't 'broker scales' that they have to roll through 5 times a day, 'broker pull in', red lights & get Level X compliance inspections someone has to do it. Most broker 'contracts' are just having you sign away your rights under the law, but that's a story for a different day.

Since there aren't 'broker scales' that they have to roll through 5 times a day, 'broker pull in', red lights & get Level X compliance inspections someone has to do it. Most broker 'contracts' are just having you sign away your rights under the law, but that's a story for a different day.

Well those that dump the most money into the system to have such laws written are in effect above the law. So the laws that are written are there to appear as if they are protecting somebody. Well they are, the very ones that dumped the money into the poopershittens pockets in the gooberment. Meanwhile back on the farm, we the little business owners and workers are constantly screwed by the very laws that supposedly were to protect us. It is the MegaCorps modus operandi to ensure that their interest are protected. They will use every possible means to protect their interest. This is to include influencing the poopershittens with legalized bribery (lobbying) in order to have laws written in such a fashion to protect their interest as well as their shareholders. They will have these laws written as to look on the surface as to protect the very people that they are screwing. They make sure they have a worm hole to slither out of. Worst of all these laws that were really written to protect the smaller individuals will not be enforced upon the larger. Why? Because they have bought and paid for the law and are in effect above the law.
