TRYING TO BE NICE... (TQL)

First off, Let me state this... I don't believe in bashing people nor companies or having ill will towards anyone... but this is sort of bothering me... I've seen MULTIPLE post about this company and I'm trying to see if ANYONE... has ever had a PLEASURABLE experience using this company... I HAVE called on MULTIPLE loads listed by TQL... and everytime I call, who ever answers the phone will ask "WHAT DO YOU NEED TO GET IT DONE?" but then when I quote my asking rate.... which is reasonable... they ALWAYS say they can't do it for that... it's out of their range... Now, I realize that they run a business and this may be their practice but is there anybody out there that has actually hauled for these people? It seems they... well, I'll leave that comment alone... Personally, if you ask me what I want then it seems that you already are hoping that i'd take less than you've figured you'd pay to get the load hauled.. I've seen many posts about this compnay but I'm trying to come at another approach...

If you're talking about Total Quality Logistics in Cincinnati Ohio they are the third largest Brokerage in the country which means there would be thousands of trucks hauling their Freight everyday. My suggestion would be if you're not happy with the way the communication is handled then take the time to establish a relationship with one of their truck Representatives. It is amazing how many flies you can attract with a little bit of honey

BAHAHAHAH! Flies are attracted to shit too and that's pretty much my dealings with them! Never hauled a single load for them. They post loads in home areas so they get calls to see what the local people would run the loads for then go in and cut the rates! I'm not saying this just to say it, I have personal experience with this company. Also I wrote a forum last week about an experience with this company. The agents have no clue what it takes to run a truck down the road and no clue how to figure rates! This was evident from my 15 minute conversation with a representitive that informed me that when hauling by the cwt you take the total amount of cwt times the price the lane is running for (1.50/mile this case) and that gives you the total pay for the load divided by the amount of cwt in the trailer. in his world the load would have paid around .75/mile. When any company, large or small, hires a representitve they should first make sure they are capable of doing the job.

In the hopper side of this business I know for sure they are a disgrace and basic bottom feeding brokers and would stay away. Also I have aquaintences who have worked with them and say if you do work with them to make sure you keep all your paper work in order and have all the right number on the paperwork.

TQL. Dealt with them for years. Was ok, then the guy that started the company got out! When it was start TQL had their own trucks pulling reefers but soon stated they couldn't make any money owning and operating them. Hmmm! They will replace you with cheaper carriers. We have a 100% on-time rate with them and we had 1 problem that I wanted compensation for and we had a serious exchange of words, now I am on the DO NOT LOAD LIST. It's been 10+ years and I have no regrets for speaking my mind. Still in business so they didn't win, I did. Many friends have lost their ass running for them or got paid $0. They have $0 invested in trucking. Avoid them like the plague.

Too Quirky Locos basically sums it all up.
There are many other nicknames as well but the original post said we were trying to be nice.

So much for that, hey to all you dishonorable brokers just thought I would give you a little military heads up. We are getting ready for combat over at the ICG. We are ready to kick your asses to the curb. You better realize those year long cheap ass contracts that you promised those shippers are about worthless as teats on a bore hog.

You have no assets without us, this means you have no ass as well. It will be very easy to kick that no asset ass. Now that people are listening to me and others about profit margins, you will find your own margins getting slimmer. That is fine you have grown far off the hog long enough.

Shippers you jokers better start brushing up on your dispatching. Your logistics managers downright suck. I have been consulting on some lanes and have even told some if your managers they are total idiots thinking trucks average what google says.

Rates are going to increase by 100% or more. Who gives a shit, I have been waiting for this and am heavily invested now on mega-carrier stocks. I will be playing puts on the Mega-shippers for the next couple of years. Load up on puts on the brokers as well, it will pay as they start bleeding from the upcoming battle.

When there is blood in the streets there is money to be made.
