Just curious if anyone has ever hauled rock salt in a hopper bottom. What are the pros and cons?

Salt isn't that bad, humidity makes it worse. At a minimum you will want to hose down the interior of the trailer when empty.

Road salt is fine. Feed salt is a little worse depending on humidity. You will want a washout if hauling feed on the next load cause it'll be sweaty and sticky. Grain is not a problem.
