This story about a truck company paying
O/O 14k a week is 99% BS. It's for frac sand. You can't get a human being on the phone and they have disabled the contact us portion of their website. The only thing you can do on their website is send in an application. When the 14k is challenged by the interviewer he says drivers are bringing home 6k to 8k. There's something fishy about those numbers. 50% in expenses. Come on now. Dealing with companies lying about earning potential is why I got my own authority.

Over the years I have found 99% to be the standard for B.S. in the trucking industry.

I'm not saying that the article is true but however I will say there is no way for a company to give an employee $14,000 a week without taxes being withheld. If you calculate it, the take home would be $9702.39 weekly if paid $14,000. Taxes are a b@#$! |

It's for O/O However I think it's bs still. I've been strictly hauling sand since 17 and I haven't seen a company paying that to the truck on a weekly basis.

I Talked to them, You have to stay out 4 weeks, 5 days off, need a blower and a pump. Asked about demurrage, they didnt answer. but you can make up to $14,000 per week. Big bunch of B>S> |

14k, right. All the guys I know that did that quit because no money in it any longer.
Maybe if you go to north Dakota and freeze for the winter. But then the super inflated cost to live there , eats up that money.

I would say it’s not even close to middle class anymore, based on the way everyone is panicking over AB-5, it’s opponents seem to argue that the only way the economy can survive is if the traditional expenses associated with employee’s are eliminated, i.e, work comp, health insurance, retirement plan, social security, not to mention overtime pay. Currently I am watching a fleet of South African immigrants in brown trucks drive the market down, and wondering in the era of corporate America going Woke, where are the social justice warriors to stop the exploitation of helpless immigrants?
