The FMCSAis going to post something to make it official shortly. Do not know if this is true or false. Read it on overdrive magazine website

It appears the mandate is falling apart, before it's even been implemented. Now that they have given privalages to some, others will be able to sue over the equall protection clause.

They have extended the Ag Exemption which allows for all driving within 172 land miles from origin to not be counted towards hours of service, in other words driving hours would start to count and need to tracked after exceeding 172 miles during harvest seasons. And yes, it was posted yesterday that new guidelines would be issued and that the implementation deadline would be extended 90 days for haulers of agricultural commodities.

Both Trandy and Steve are correct. They have extended the Ag Exemption which allows for all driving within 172 land miles from origin to not be counted towards hours of service, in other words driving hours would start to count and need to tracked after exceeding 172 miles during harvest seasons. And yes, it was posted yesterday that new guidelines would be issued and that the implementation deadline would be extended 90 days for haulers of agricultural commodities.
