I just quoted someone 650 dollars for a 1 way belt trailer 264 mile load. I thought I was at or near the bottom of what I could do it for but was told I was extremly high. Was I?

How could you do it cheaper and make a profit? Good luck.

I wouldn't be any less. I would say someone else is extremely low.

Bruce you are not too high I called my neighbor who has a floor he said he absolutely will not pull anything for under $3 per-mile whether by one-way or round-trip. So I got to call in a couple of Brokers on this site for giggles their rates were 1.78 - 2.00 per mile and that's the best they would give me.

Bruce, it seems to me that merchandisers and commodity brokers have no problem paying the price but your run of the mill freight brokers and 3pls can't grasp that we actually do make a living doing this. Might be me but ?

Wouldn't touch it for that. Tell thin to call swift or job hunt.
