The drop point is Kellogs in Mexicali, Mx. It located just over the border in southern Cal/Baja. It is approx 1500 miles from Lake Charles.

Hmm, since unloading in Mexico and there is no Freight in Texas then I would say $6.37 per mile one way

I think $200/T is not too far off the mark for this lane.

Actually it was just a hair high, it should of been $3.10 per mile rather than the latter. Considering I can get freight all day long to cali for $4.25 and get loads out of Colo for umm, well that's a secret. Just curious wat u trying to get it done for ?

I sent you an e-mail explaining my thought process behind this lane :) I don't need the "mega" brokers in on my little secrets ! HAHA!

I found out this must be moved with pneumatic hoppers, no bottom hoppers.

That's going to cost a premium considering those are considered specialized trailers and the freight for them is a LOT more limited. I would say almost bounce rate @ around $2.50 for 3K miles and I am probably on the low end here to be honest.

Brent, actually it's right at $3.30 but close enough, but finding someone to carry it across the border. Last I heard going to Mexicali because it was so dangerous because of all the drug Warfare there was a $5,000 surcharge paid before the load was taken. That was about 18 months ago might have changed by now

Also forgot to mention you have to have a California compliant truck might be hard to find coming out of the Deep South

I can see that for sure, I would be hard pressed to find a Bulk Pnuematic that would take it to MX anyway, and as you stated $3.30 would probably be a lot closer than my lowball of $2.50 but you know how us Brokers work :P haha!
