IMPORTER
Hello Bulkloadsnow forum, I am a shipper / carrier and about to be active again with the fmcsa, I have a AES Direct account, is there a problem with a motor carrirer company registered as an importer, I know a shipper can be an importer, but can a motor carrier be an importer? You just need a bond right. I have a scac code and I am getting no leadway, so I come to the forum, and as I did before about double brokering, and I got good asnswer to the questions I asked, and still to this day, I understand double brokering, becuase of the patrons inside the forum of bulkloadsnow. I call on your expertise again and ask the question,- Is there a problem with a trucking company being a importer?. Some type of hidden rule, like the rule for Hazmate transporters. Thou shall not use the same truck to transport eatable comsumer products - Food / Water.
