Load Poster Info

We are all busy, right? No one wants to waste time, ours or anyone else's. So why in the world do shippers, brokers, etc fail to post specific details on their loads posted on here? Granted, most folks know what comes out of where, but there are plenty of places that have many different commodities being loaded and unloaded. Specifics on actual rates per loaded mile would be useful, knowing what specific kind of grain or ingredient they are advertising, load and unload hours of the operation, which operation, if it's a farm, mill, etc. We all have our likes, our preferences, we have 3 places in Spfd, MO to unload DDG, one we HATE going to and avoid like the plague, the other is a GREAT experience and we will generally take any load we can there. Stuff like that, I just think it would eliminate excess phone calls and emails for all.

It's like fishing and you get a nibble...They are dangling the hook in front of you hoping you bite and give them a call. Care to share the one you avoid like the plague... Just betwen us? :)

I fully agree with this, it could save a LOT of time, also some kind of history of waiting times would be really helpful. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm going to hang this on BulkLoads. As carriers, we're paying for a service, but we do a lot of footwork to secure a load. Maybe BulkLoads should just do business with brokers that give the info we need to make a decision without making a phone call or email or is this load board designed mostly for brokers??????

I agree, if BulkLoads wants to be the leader amongst load boards, they ought to set a standard that *all fields are required* I'd bet that by ensuring carriers have the MOST info from their app, it would surely invite non-users to become users. I would recommend it more vigorously if it truly was geared toward carriers. I understand that the brokers/shippers need a way to quickly input their info as I'm sure they have many to add, but I'm sure Bulkloads has the capability to auto populate or add drop down bars, just something to better make use of a person's time. I use bulkloads daily, and on average getting my loads for the week, it's usually an hour or two by the time I end up weeding them out by commodity, mill, farm, waiting for them to call or email back, sometimes negotiating rate and if I have to complete a carrier packet and get the insurance to send a COI...it could be greatly reduced IF they just put a bit more information on the post. Wazoo, MO to Doodad, OK 49mile bounce 475mile loaded haul DDG Rate: $40/ton Load Date 12/28/20 Ethanol Plant: Sassy Gas, 11 Pump Ave, Wazoo MO Loading Times 6am-4pm Phone Number to confirm Load # Unload Date 12/28 or 29/20 Farm: Skedattle Beef, 36 Long Ln, Doodad, OK Unloading Times: Anytime, Call ahead when you are out about an hour Reloads Available.... See? The rate on this one is too low. So at this point, because I LOVE DDG and going to farms I would THEN call and negotiate rate if possible. How much time did we just save??? :)

Maybe include a carrier friendly rate...and not the “hey, you can break even while we make a BMW payment” type of rate. Really, I agree with all that is being said. Commodity especially, would be helpful and equally, the truest possible load/unload date.

Maybe a bit better screening by bulk loads to prevent the double brokering. Broker to broker to broker and eventually to a carrier is bad bad news for carriers. Kudos to the carriers with brokerages that tend to be more fair with their rates on brokered loads they can’t cover. BOOOOO to the third broker down the line that still takes 40+ percent claiming that’s all they have in it...

Speaking of carrier packets,..instead of a carrier having to fill out all the same info, send to each broker that they may conceivably do business with....contact insurance to send COI etc. etc. this takes hours to do this... why not do the footwork one time, file it with Bulkloads, then Bulkloads would give the info to their broker members. Essentially any Bulkload carrier could haul for any Bulkload broker. A LOT of hassle on both sides would be completely eliminated. Just wondering.

Woah, Kyle! Maybe we need to get hired on at Bulkloads. Seems like as usual, the originator of Bulkloads forgot their roots as a carrier OR they NEVER were a carrier, OR they don't take input from their users. I REALLY figured some representative of Bulkloads would comment on this, reach out to get input to bring to the next development meeting, be more interactive....guess not.

Mr. Flinn, the calls I received were not in reference to this, the 1st from Caleb was to welcome us to Bulkloads, which we played phone tag until we did speak and the second I sent an email about how to rate a broker, which Cale answered promptly via email and then called and left a message. I have no issue about your response time to queries, but please don't misrepresent our interactions as they were not in reference to this post at all. I am in no way bashing you, simply gathering suggestions amongst other carriers and hoping that the powers that be take the voice of their consumers to heart and then into action.

Brokers could check in, and explain why there isn't more info.
