Just curious and looking for an explanation if anyone knows, why does end dumps have tons of work on here east of Mississippi but west of it there are some but nowhere near the same. Only 23 and been a owner op for 6 months now and trying to grasp how these freight lanes work. I appreciate any explanations.

Harley, there's lots of grain and cattle west of the Mississippi, but not as much manufacturing and aggregates as what you find east of the Mississippi. Also, things are newer out west compared to back east, so there's more scrap east of the Mississippi.

I wish you luck, it's a really bad time to get started as an O/O. The economy has been running out of steam over the past year.

State weight requirements could have an effect also. I know in Iowa we use most 5 or 6 axle dump trucks with tri exle pups for most of our end dump work because the can haul more gross weight.
