I'm a little slow on the uptake but I'm still running my fuel card comparisons.

Houston, Texas today

Comdata price $1.929
Fleetone price $1.489
Debit card at independent Shell Stop. $1.349

Don't know about you guys but I don't like the card people pissing on my foot and telling me it's rain.

The stations in La and Tex don't take checks but they take debit cards so I gave all our guys a debit card and split the savings with them. I'm finding if I give the driver's wife an envelope with cash in it on Fridays I end up with a buddy for life and a happy driver.

Happy drivers and I still save money. I'm all for it.

I hear you. I hate standing in a payout line and looking at my shoes to see what I might have stepped in. 8^)

As freight gets more cheap by the day I keep brain storming to save a $$$.

Pappy told us kids " sometimes it ain't what you make that counts its what you get to keep"

I'll find out when the driver checks in. I'd guess its on South Wayside. I'm away from the office for a day or 3. I've been fueling at the Bucc-ee where the sign says NO TRUCKS. It's 1.34 there too.

yeah years ago in freeport they were the only place within 15 miles of where we loaded to get fuel and somethin to eat , they made good money off about 30 of us .... until theydecided to take out their pumps and put up big no trucks signs. he knew at the time he was the only place in town we could fuel and get stuff. if thats how he feels he don't need my dimes

I don't know why they started the no truck crap. Probly got tired of cleaning up blown out tires and pee bombs.
The one over at Eagle Lake is the only one I've seen so far that has designated truck fuel and truck parking.
The one at Luling will ask you to get your truck out too.

the Buccees in New Braunfels told me to leave their lot. I was bobtail and was eating the food I just purchased in their deli when they told me I couldn't stay there but if I needed a place to park I could go across the street to the Whataburger. I'll never go back to one again.

Kevin it was a Shell out on Rankin. He says they have room for a truck to fuel if you can catch the lot just right.

Good grief. Baytown Buccee is $1.759 today so I'm off to TA. Fleetone is $1.519 today.
