Argument of the Day! Fuel should only be 25% of the load. a normal truck runs 2,500 miles a week. $10.00 per gallon for fuel. That would be ruffly $25,000 for fuel! Per week. $100,000 gross per week Haul rate will be $40 per mile.

I'm up for that. Sadly most are working for less than $2.50;per mile. While I hate some brokers it's the idiots that haul cheap that perpetuate this. If you confront stupidity it's always the, well I just need that little bit for the round to pay. Art Pfluger

I hope your trucks get more than 1 mile per gallon

So that means that today $5+ per gallon the rates should be around $20 per mile

Check your miles per gallon in that equation.

This is part of the reason I like high fuel prices. So many can't do simple math.

Fuel seems to be the only thing drivers are able to account for.
