Last week, we released a new YouTube feature with Rick Johnson right here in Springfield. Rick has spent nearly 60 years in trucking, built and sold some bolk trucking companies over the years, and still operates a successful lease purchase program today.
I went over and walked with him for an interview that I honestly think has a ton of value. Whether you’re looking to purchase your first truck, grow your fleet, or even build your own lease purchase program someday, Rick doesn’t hold anything back. He openly shares lessons, mistakes, numbers, and real-world experience from decades in this industry.
One thing I really appreciated was how transparent he was through the entire conversation. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping others succeed.
And I’ve gotta say… I absolutely love these 567 trucks. I think Rick mentioned that with the truck, half tank of fuel, and driver included, he’s sitting around 19,000 lbs.
