How can a load board show thousands and thousands of loads listed to haul but yet there is still no loads to haul.

Perhaps they are backhaul decoys used to entice carriers into taking a lower rate on out bound loads?

Possibly poor housekeeping from those posting or a decoy as stated.

Lots of double brokering and many brokers all share the same load and all have a different rate on the same load of course.

Can you name another load board that serves the bulk community as well as this one?

Half the posted loads when you call them are "already covered". Especially after you shoot them a decent rate.

Beware of the ones that post every load they have .

Curt, this is what I've brought up a few times, but bulkloads like to use the 1000s of loads for advertising purposes, except it's really only around 25% of that number due to the loads being double, triple, or quadruple brokered. This is why they need to require the rate to be posted on the load. Then we would see a true number of loads. Since no one is going to make the same move for less money

I think all rates should be posted regardless

I agree. All rates should be posted. Brokers and carriers. Everyone's but mine.

On a side note the media says the economy has never been better, inflation is down and there is a major shortage of truckers holding back the supply chain.

Is there any legitimate argument against Bulkloads making it mandatory to post a rate on the posting? Some of us have been talking about this for years and it’s like BL doesn’t even notice? It seems to me like it would be the easy thing to do for BL but you nearly have to wonder which side they are on….🤨 why don’t they?

Id like to see mandatory commodity disclosure. How times do I have to email/call on loads that are something meant for an end dump or walking floor and I'm certainly not loading it in a food/feed grade hopper. (Glass, rocks, tires, scrap ect.) Just trying to sucker a hopper in because they'll do it cheaper...

I feel for bulkloads a little bit on this topic because they are a service for the broker as well as the trucker and I'm sure the brokers are on the other side of the fence so you can't please both sides. That being said if your a good broker with good customers that have loads at a reasonable rate there is no reason why they wouldn't want to show that rate IMO. And it also would make the driver and brokers life easier not having to communicate back and forth just to see what the rate is. But I think a big problem on here is double brokering, as people above had said, and people posting loads that they don't actually have "just to get quotes"

Well I suppose youcould post what rate you'll haul for per mile, perhaps that's one solution.

Maybe not the rate... we can all understand why they dont post rates, but at least the commodity should be listed. Or a description of the commodity. Not just trailers, most brokers list too many trailers. We all know what their doing
