It's disappointing you had a poor experience and have decided to spread lies about our company. We are in the process of quoting business for 2-3 year commitments. That is why we don't have a load to ship "today" and are seeking carriers interested in a partnership which you obviously weren't. We asked you a simple question about you having enough capacity available to service the lane consistently and couldn't get a straight answer. We're more than happy to share any and all credentials with any qualified carrier who'd like to see them but I think it's safe to say we luckily won't be working with you. www.harnesstogo.com

How do you quote 2-3 year commitments? Do you have a crystal ball to predict where all the variable costs will be? Or could it be that you just want to bid freight to get it and try to cut the cream off the top? I would like to know how anyone can bid that far out?

I don't even call TOGO anymore. They post loads for a particular date, then I waste my time calling only to be told you don't actually have any loads at all.

I'm not sure what is going on, but I don't have time to chase loads that don't exist when I call to try to get rates or book one.

I called on a load they had posted yesterday. I was informed that I needed to email in because the represetive had no knowledge of the load. I asked to speak to someone that had some information on the load. Again I was informed that I need to email in because "thats the way this industry works..." (News flash, we don't operate that way in the hopper world)

So I fired off an email, still haven't heard anything back... but apparently they have 100 loads...

Their MC number is actually Pearce Worldwide’s MC number, which is the brokerage side of Warren Pearce and Co. Inc, a small reefer outfit. Not quite sure what Togo’s role is with Pearce besides lying about having loads on this board and wasting people’s time with their fishing expedition. A quick look at their website shows it’s a group of ex CH Robinson employees and that’s more than enough for me to never do business with them.

It isn't possible to bid 2-3 years out. Parts prices are through the roof, tires are through the roof, good drivers are harder to come by, fuel is inconsistent, etc. Way too many variables to account for. No bulk merchandiser/shipper would make a 2-3 year commitment with their regulars that they have years long relationships with, let alone with some corporate company that is dipping it's toes into the bulk realm for the first time. The current market is spear-heading the way for these scavengers to enter bulk, and wreck it like they did freight-hauling.

That isn’t actually accurate. We haul local cement and the rates direct with the largest supplier/shipper of cement in the region are 2 year set rates. It actually works out great because there is so much stability. We do not see dips in the rates during times like this. The flip side is that 1-2 years ago, there was no upside when rates were sky high, but that’s ok. The stability is more than worth it.
