Is anyone else having problems getting coal loads out of eastern PA to the western PA or Ohio area? I have never heard "no loads this week" because "this power plant is shut down" or " that mine is shut down" or "these steel mills are shut down" So many times in one month before. What the Hell is going on? Ive got product that I could bring back into PA but every load I use to be able to count on to get out there is "shut down" one way or another for over a month now.

Joe said he was going to shut down the coal industry, so this what happens when you vote democrat.

Think back to a couple of months ago when Century aluminum shut the doors because the price of electricity destroyed their Margins, most mills use a electric arc furnace, it’s likely that what happened to century is now happening to others in the market, and coal is a back haul for those trucks that used to move scrap, it’s likely they don’t want to pay a round trip on the coal, so it’s not moving? Just a guess.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Just weird it wasnt a gradual stop this year. One week it just ended.

I could see that. Our biggest coal accounts over the last few years were to the steel mills in Ohio. Just weird how one week it just stopped.

I have a feeling folks are going to be surprised how fast stuff goes down hill after the election is over, the government has been lying through their teeth about how bad stuff really is, none of the feds rate hikes have made a dent in inflation, the stragic oil reserve is half gone, supply chains are controlled by the commies, and Uncle Sam deployed a division of screaming Eagles to Europe for the first time since WW2.....Remain calm, all is well.
