Carrier looking for work. New experiences.

I’m sure messages like these are a dime a dozen. I’m a second generation driver with own authority and truck (though, it’s hanging on now). Basically got pushed out of my old food grade tank routes, thanks the large food grade carriers massively underbidding lanes I’ve ran for eight years. But that’s business, so I’d like to try new opportunities/experiences (Dying to learn cattle hauling). Currently running Power Only, with these big name apps. Ladies and Gentlemen, let me tell you. This ain’t the way to prosperity. To also be a little vulnerable, my father is 70. And I am constantly being reminded that the old guard won’t be around much longer. That amount of knowledge, and skill will be lost to us. Especially in the bulk/agriculture sector of this industry, and the numbers are there to back up this sentiment. This sector is mostly still, in 2026, a “who’s who” business based on reputation, and trust. It’s the relationships and the fellowship built over decades. That fact alone, is helping greatly at keeping the giants out.. For now at least. I’m seeking out a mentor that has the work available for me to learn and grow. The patience to teach skills learned over the decades. And if I can get enough work, I can finally replace my current truck. And give my father an opportunity to do some team driving. Like any true driver knows, the road calls to him. And a couple trips with his buddy sure would put a twinkle in his eye. Based in Candler, NC (Asheville). Don’t mind being out a couple weeks at a time.
