Trucks to haul round hay bales to hurricane victims

Oct 16, 2018 at 02:53 PM CST
I am with Hansen Mueller Co. and i have been contacted to try and help a group move around 100 round hay bales from S. Carolina to N. Florida, to help the farmers who were affected by the hurricane. I am trying to get the exact location of where the bales are located, but they have been donated and i am trying to help them find someone who would be willing to haul them for this group as a donation or even a discounted rate. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas or may know of someone that would be interested in helping out these guys that have been devastated by this storm.
Thanks

The bales are 5'H x 4'W and weight 800lbs. I'm waiting on the exact location of where they are loading in SC and going to in FL.
Thanks

I just talked with the lady who is heading this up and her name is Crystal Gainey and she is working with the United Cajun Navy. They are looking for anyone who could possibly haul this hay for the local community as a tax write off or a discounted rate. Its loading at Newton, SC and delivering to Vernon, FL. They will be distributing the hay to local farmers and also local coops in the area where it can be picked up by anyone who lost everything in the hurricane. Please email or call if you have any questions. They are looking for 2 trucks to haul 38 bales each. The bales are 4' Wide x 5' Tall and weigh approximately 800lbs each. I will be glad to give you Crystal's number if you have any questions about the tax write off or anything in that regard.
Thanks

I think they are looking for a write off which translates into you doing this load for $0 . It's great that people want to help people out that lost a lot and that's great. but my big concern is that if I would do it for a write off I would make sure nobody else is making any profit.

I’m looking to get it done as cheap as possible, maybe fuel & expenses. These guys had the hay donated and are needing someone to haul it and I told them I would do all I could. What are you thinking and I’ll run it by them. I’ve got a call or two from guys willing to donate money and I think Hansen Mueller would also, but I can’t pay regular rates obviously. Let me know what it would take and I’ll contact the lady from the United Cajun Navy to gauge her thoughts.

@ Andrew. I will be glad to put any trucks in touch with the guy who is with the United Cajun Navy and is heading up part of this relief effort. I can promise you i'm not making a dime on this, i was contacted my a mutual friend who thought i may be able to help. But i will be glad to get his number or the lady on the ground with the United Cajun Navy. I'm going to actually try and cover what expenses there will be, by having my compnay donate to this cause. So feel free to email or post,if you would like to speak with either one of those 2 with the United Cajun Navy.
Thanks
Jeremy
